Paddle Paddle terms of use

Effective date: November 6, 2026

License

On iPhone and Apple Watch, Paddle Paddle (“the app”) is licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). Where the Standard EULA and these terms conflict, the Standard EULA applies.

On Android, we grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms and the Google Play Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it.

By downloading or using the app you agree to the terms on this page.

Free version and subscription

You can use Paddle Paddle for free with ads. An auto-renewable subscription unlocks all features. The available plans, their length and price are shown in the app before you subscribe. Prices may vary by country.

The free version shows ads from third-party ad networks. How they use data is described in the privacy policy below.

On iPhone and Apple Watch

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. If a free trial is offered, you’re charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel the subscription in your device’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
  • Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com.

On Android

  • Payment is processed by Google Play and charged to your Google Account when you confirm the purchase. If a free trial is offered, you’re charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before it ends.
  • The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. You can manage or cancel it in the Play Store app under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
  • Refunds are handled under Google Play’s refund policies.

A subscription bought on one platform does not carry over to the other.

On the water

Paddle Paddle records your sessions. It is not a safety or navigation device. Check the weather and water conditions before you go, wear a buoyancy aid, tell someone your plans, and carry a reliable way to call for help. Don’t rely on the app or your phone to navigate or to raise an alarm. Protect your iPhone with a waterproof case or dry bag.

Position, speed, distance, stroke rate, stroke force, heart rate and calories are estimates from GPS and your sensors and can be inaccurate, especially near cliffs, bridges or trees. Paddle Paddle is not a medical device.

Privacy

How the app handles your data, including ads and the optional Google Drive backup on Android, is described in the Paddle Paddle privacy policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page, with its effective date.
