CamCarDer terms of use

License

CamCarDer and CamCarDer Lite (“the app”) are licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). By downloading or using the app you agree to the Standard EULA together with the terms on this page. Where they conflict, the Standard EULA applies.

Purchase

CamCarDer is a paid app: you pay once on the App Store and get all its features. There is no subscription and nothing renews. CamCarDer Lite is free, with some limitations, so you can try the app first.

  • The purchase is processed by Apple and charged to your Apple Account. The price is shown on the App Store before you buy and may vary by country.
  • You can download CamCarDer again on any iPhone signed in with the same Apple Account at no extra cost.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Driving safely

Set up the app and enter your destination before you drive. Don’t handle your iPhone while driving. Mount it securely where it doesn’t block your view, and follow local laws on phone mounts and phone use in vehicles.

Speed limits, directions and your speed come from map data and GPS, which may be wrong or out of date. Road signs, traffic rules and conditions on the road always come first.

Recording

You are responsible for using the app lawfully. Laws on dash cams vary: some places restrict where a camera may be mounted, recording audio of passengers without their consent, or publishing footage that shows people’s faces or number plates. You can mute the microphone in the app.

Recording can stop or clips can be lost, for example when storage is full, the battery is low, the iPhone overheats or another app interrupts. Clips that aren’t locked may be deleted automatically to free space. Lock important clips and copy them off your iPhone. Don’t rely on the app as your only record of an incident.
